The Clinical Study on 55cases of Recurrented Stroke Patients






Abstract
According to 55cases of recurrented stroke patients admitted to the Department of Oriental Internal Medicine ¥±, Oriental Medicine Hospital, Daejeon University from 1. January 1999 to 31. December 1999, we obtained the result as follows.
1. The distribution of sex following stroke group was male 1.12 much more than female, in age distribution, seventies was the most in 41%, meam velocity was similar.
2. The interval between first and second attack ranged from 3 month to 12 years.
3. There were tendencies to recur same type and region with the first attack. In comparison between first and second attack, there were little differences in the pasthitory.
4. On preceding disease, hypertension was 78.2%, there were higher than that of mean velocity.
5. The case of family history was 29.1%, the most family history was C.V.A.
6. In the time of admission, the disgrace of serum cholesterol in order of over 220mg/dl was 14.5%, that of triglyceride in order of over 200mg/dl was 23.6%. those were much more than mean velocity, that of HDL-cholesterol in order of below 40m1/dl was 49.1% it was much more than mean velocity.
7. The patient of drinking history was 23.6%, that of smoking history was 36.4%, those of both smoking history and drinking history were 21.9%, there were much more than mean velocity.
8. In the recurrented attack group, treatment of hazard factor were stoped 47.1%, but in the first attack group, were stoped 65.9%.
9. The common symtom of the time of admission were motor disability and verbal distubance, the patients of mental disorer were 10.9%, there were much more than mean velocity.
10. In the time of discharge, the improval grade of motor disability and verbal disturbance were much below than mean velocity.
